Come Meet Our Staff

After graduating from W&J, Aaron attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK for his veterinary education, graduating in 2006. He spent a year at Purdue University completing a rotating internship in small animal internal medicine, dentistry, and surgery. It has been his long-term goal to own a practice and be able to treat clients and practice veterinary medicine the best ways he knows how.
Dr. Hofmeister is married with 2 children. His wife, Renee, originally from Butler, spent 15 years teaching in the public school system. She is currently homeschooling their children. Renee also serves as the media specialist for practice. Their daughter, Madeline, was born July 2013 and loves animals. It is not uncommon to see her “working” at the clinic. Their son, Liam, was born in April 2015 and loves anything to do with video games. To keep life interesting and entertaining, the Hofmeisters have 4 dogs - 3 German Short-haired Pointers - Parker, Ries, Dunkin, and one Boston Terrier named Chip.
Professionally, Dr. Hofmeister has a special interest in ophthalmology and dentistry, though he enjoys the variety that veterinary medicine provides. Outside of work, he enjoys travel and home-improvement projects.

After Graduating IUP, Shane attended Virginia Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in Blacksburg, VA for his veterinary education, graduating in 2025. During his time there he also gained certificate as a Cat Friendly Veterinarian from the Feline Veterinary Medical Association.
Professionally, Dr. Shane has a special interest in internal medicine, dentistry, and abdominal ultrasound, though he enjoys the variety that veterinary medicine provides. Outside of work, Dr. Shane enjoys spending time outside whether it is hiking, biking, canoeing, and kayaking. He also enjoys spending time with his, black lab mix, Jake who was a teaching dog that Dr. Shane met in his first year of vet school that he adopted. His favorite part of his job is teaching the future generation of veterinarians but also educating his clients as well.
